Birthday Parties

Are you looking for somewhere special to hold your child's next birthday party? Are they aged between 3 and 11 years old? Then why not come to The Deep? TO check availability and book call 01482 381000 (option 3)

For an all-inclusive price of £11.00 per child (minimum of 10 - maximum of 20 paying children per party) you and your group will receive the following fantastic benefits:

• Escort upon arrival in reception to your birthday meal of chicken nuggets, chips, beans and a fizzy drink or pasta bolognaise and salad (one menu choice per party to be selected at time of booking).
• Storage baskets provided where you can leave coats, bags and presents. Your basket will be locked at all times, but your group will be given the combination code to allow access at any point.
• A dedicated member of the catering crew throughout your birthday meal.
• Your own guide for one hour to take you through The Deep, giving you interesting facts as you go and maybe even a game or two!
• Additional time within the exhibition to explore Deep Blue One, linger in the tunnel or revisit your favourite parts.
• Goodie bag for each child. These will be ready for collection upon leaving the attraction. (Recommended pick-up time 5.30pm in reception).
• Departure 8am next day

One FREE adult place per 5 children - additional adults £8.95 each.

Please feel free to customise your party by bringing your own birthday cake and decorations for your table.
Parties will be held each day at 2.00pm and are subject to availability. All parties must be pre-booked and full payment received at least 7 working days before the event either by credit card by calling 01482 381000 option 3, or by cheque made payable to Running Deep Ltd and sent to The Bookings Office, The Deep, Hull HU1 4DP.
Please note that we are unable to offer any refunds should any member of your party not be able to attend on the day.

Sleep Next To The Sharks

Ever wanted to sleep next to 3,500 fish? Uniformed groups including schools can join us for a night of fun and games amongst the fishes. Sleepovers are popular at The Deep and we have welcomed many cubs, brownies, guides and schools through our doors for the chance to sleep next to ones of Europe’s deepest tanks.

For a sleepover to operate we require a minimum of 100 and maximum of 150 children to participate, so this is a great opportunity for you to join forces with other groups in your district. The itinerary for your evening would follow as:

• Arrival 7pm
• Exclusive use of The Deep
• Guided tour
• Workshops throughout the evening including craft and games sessions tailored to your needs if required
• ‘Sleeping with the sharks’ (yes right in front of the tanks!)
• Breakfast
• Departure 8am next day

The cost of the above is £20 per child and we ask that you bring a pack-up for the evening, sleeping bags, mats and pillows etc. The price per adult is £5 and we require you to provide a ratio of 1:6 children. Your booking would only be accepted on the assumption that you will provide a sufficient number of suitably trained, qualified and insured adults to care overnight for the group (including those under the age of 8) in line with all relevant legal requirements, and that the children will be under your care and supervision throughout the evening. Necessary permission must be sought by yourselves from the children’s parents/guardians.

The Deep and Day Plus Pass

So that visitors can gain the most from their experience at The Deep, on purchase of a day ticket visitors will be able to return to The Deep for a further 12 months free of charge (terms and conditions apply). This is applicable to all tickets purchased online too!

Using Gift Aid means for every pound you donate we are able to claim 28 pence from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, helping us to continue our educational, conservational and charity work. Imagine what a difference that could make and it does not cost you a thing.

Making your donation under Gift Aid will enable The Deep, a registered charity to benefit from an addition 28 pence for every £1 you pay at no additional cost to you. To do so you must pay income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax The Deep will claim (currently 28 pence for every £1 you give).

Terms & Conditions
The Deep Day Plus Pass allows you and your family members with you on the day of your visit to return to The Deep free for a 12-month period. On the next visit after purchase, Day Pass Plus holders will be required to attach a passport style photograph to the Day Pass Plus form and bring some form of additional photo ID (eg. A passport or driving licence).

Family members listed on the Day Pass Plus Form given to you on purchase of your admission into The Deep may visit individually if they have the complete original membership form with them. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This membership can not be used on certain bank holidays.
In addition to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (when The Deep is closed) Day Plus Passes can not be used on the first following five dates following the purchase of the pass. For example if you purchased your Day Pass Plus ticket on May 15th 2007 you would not be able to use it on the first five bank holidays proceeding this date (28 may 2007, 27 August 2007, 21 March 2008, 24 March 2008, 05 May 2008).
